Weekly Reflection 10
This week (June 10) was my final day at Eckstein Middle School. I did not go in on June 3rd due to finals, but created booktalks that can be found on the “Projects” page.
Since Erin was only there for a few minutes today, I chose to simply take final photos and finish up the labeling of the sports section with the last few needed sport-specific labels. This will be a photo heavy post, since I did not do much, but wanted to walk through finalized parts of the library that I ultimately helped with or gave input on, even in a minor capacity:
Finally, the sports section, and the section that I was given the most control over for my final project in the library. There was a single volleyball book that was found, and had no appropriate sticker, so I left a note with Erin to make stickers for that sport as well.
Ultimately, I greatly enjoyed my time this quarter at Eckstein, and I am sad to no longer be working there on Fridays. I know that all the skills I learned this quarter will go to good use in my future career, however, and I am grateful to my supervisor Erin Sterling, my instructor Claire for putting the two of us in touch, and Professor Williams for coordinating the DFW elective. I am looking forward to my career as I graduate from the UW’s MLIS program, and hope to do my future colleagues proud!
